America lost a possible future champion racing driver. Contemporary reports say that he had talent but Im not so sure considering his choice of race car.
His first and only road car was a 1953 MGTD which he purchased in May 1954. He said it had a hot motor and milled head, etc..
When he decided to go motor racing in 1955 for some reason he traded the MG in for a Porsche.
In the first two of his three race meetings he was beaten by MGs and in the third the engine of the Porsche blew-up.
For his fourth race meeting he traded cars again for a another Porsche, a Spyder this time but sadly he and the car were written-off by a F*!d before the event.
