Well this may be the final slot car until the fall with summer activities soon to be taking the forefront. A few rainy day projects still exist, but this will be more updating my earlier efforts from a year ago with new chassis and better detailing.
Here is a Can Am Lola built on a Gift Card Chassis in a sidewinder configuration. The body is a resin casting I pulled, as is the driver. The interior is made inside a vacuum formed tub that is sandwiched between the chassis and the body.
Air brushed with acrylic paint that has future mixed right into the paint to give it a glossier finish.
The decals are from Pattos and are covered in a coat of Future.
Again machined aluminum rims, photoetch inserts with my own urethane cast rear tires.
Pretty much all of my cars use scalextrics guides modified to a lower profile to fit in these low front end 1/43 cars.
I did find a new N class motor with a better magnetic effort so much more torqy resulting in better brakes and quicker acceleration. An ebay carp shoot that paid off. I have no specs on these motors
