A mixture of inspiration of viewing other builds on here and frustration of main manufacturers neglect, I decided to build a Hesketh 308.
I know that there were/are some models available as kits but having viewed what is possible from other builds on here I thought I would have a go on my own.
I decided on the Scalextric Tyrrell 007 (C121) as the doner for a few reasons.
It looked to have similar wheelbase and proportions, I had one without a rear wing that had seen better days so if I messed it up it would not hurt my wallet apart from plasticard, Mlliput, glue etc.
First hack, plasicard glued, smoothed, mirrors and extended front wing fitted.

Searching the internet for images it becomes apparent the small differences the car had for each race/qualifying.
I am not certain if my version is totally accurate, there will always be some comprises in any model slot car, (usually an electric motor and a piece of vertical plastic underneath the front).
Sides of tub slightly wider at front than I would have liked but any narrower did not seem possible.
