Body mounting posts

Having come back from the recent slot festival and shown my son some of the slot car "Disney Car" conversions, he has asked me to get one of his cars converted!

I spent last two days doing some research as this would be the first time I am attempting to convert any static model into a slot car. I've narrowed my chassis search to "PCS 32 Adjustable Plastic Chassis Kit" but one thing I am really struggling with is the body mounting posts!

I am simply struggling with where to start with the body mounts and having researched this forum and few others, I've only come up with the photos and no real instructions on how it is done.

So, this is what I found...

The way I understand it is as follows:
- Using screws, you attach the smaller diameter tube to the chassis
- Bigger diameter tube is fixed to the body using epoxy
- You then trim the tube on the chassis until you get the desired ride height

The questions I have are as follows?

1. How do you align the mounting post on the body with the one on the chassis? Does anyone have a (simple) method which allows you to place the markings on the inside of the body?

2. What type of tube is used?

3. What glue to use to attach the tube to the body? I am guessing it is epoxy which is used? Is there a particular brand which is proven to work well?

4. So, you have the body mounts fixed in place and the ride height is adjusted, do you just rely on the tight fit between the tubes so the body doesn't come off when the car rolls? Or, is there some other method for getting the two tubes to fit tightly without having to worry if they will pull apart?
