Next to roll off the "production line" is a Surtees TS14 as driven by Mike Hailwood in 1973. Other versions of this car have appeared on the forum but I decided to share my version as well. (Sorry!)
Main points before we get to the pictures:
Body DNQ (excellent as always)
Chassis Penelope Pitlane (tried, tested and quality)
Wheels/tyres/motor etc. standard stuff from Pendles (such nice helpful people)
Decals Reissorg and Pattos (thanks for the great service)
Detailing (wing/mirrors/inserts/suspension etc.) yours truly (least said, soonest mended)

The shell was another great resin production from Simon and needed little preparation work apart from making space for the running gear.

The wheel inserts are plasticard that is shaped, drilled and painted with guide eyelets inserted in the middle. Aluminium tube inserted into the eyelets and the assembly is mounted onto a plastic axle bearing. This is then glued into the hub.

The mirrors are Scalextric spares cut and glued onto the three supports. The piping and cylinder air intakes are cut/shaped aluminium tubing.

I cut a small piece of clear plastic from an A4 sleeve (meant to hold a sheet of paper in a ring binder) and "glued" this onto the helmet. This means that "Mike the bike" has a visor.
The sponsors' graphics on the car seemed to change position from one race to the next. So I decided to go for a format that I liked and seemed well represented on the images I found.
