Which make of abrasives for rubbing down acrylic paintwork ?

Hi all, I keep trying/buying abrasives from different suppliers,some work ok but wear out too quick,others are too course and 'scratchy'. grades 1200-1500 are used most but other grades are useful.I'd be grateful for any info on a reliable source of quality abrasives for rubbing down acrylic paintwork on bodies.
