Hopefully, this is the correct place to post this cry for help.
I have painted many plastic bodies using Halfors automotive products and Plastikote with varying degrees of success from "hmm, that's not too bad at all" right up to "wow! I'm very happy with that!", so what's gone wrong with my latest attempts?
I cleaned 2 white kit bodies and used Halfords grey primer as I already had it and I've used it many times before. Then a few days after the primer, I warmed a brand new can of Halfords BMW Alpine White and sprayed the 2 bodies. The paint appeared to go on alright, and it was nice and warm, about 18-20C, but one body has dried to a a semi-matt almost textured finish and the other has dried to really bad orange peel in parts.
So....... how can I rescue these disasters? Can I soak them in Isopropanol alcohol to remove my efforts or do I have to rub down and respray?
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
