Tyrrell - Spain GP 1976

I decided I need to make a tyrrell from the GP of Spain 1976,

But not that one, this one !

based on an old scaley 007 with the pods cut off, new ones added, the nose reprofiled, an extra 6mm in the lenghth of the tub and ccockpit, new engine and new mirror pods from which we get the model below











the resin cast is sprayed with Vauxhall ragata blue - I hope that's correct Chopper ?

need to detail now with paint and decals

there are a few things I would change - front wing plates are not big enough and the cockpit sides are too thick ( bit of sanding will fix that ) but not to bad

I have built it around a PP chassis but the engine is the same dimensions as the excellent policar DFV so allowing a scratch build with Andi's top notch Pod and DFV
