1967 Honda RA300 Formula 1 "Hondola". This car won its debut F1 race at the 1967 Italian Grand Prix at Monza.
This slot car was built for a proxy race a few years ago. It was a back-marker in the race - I think it finished in last place.![biggrin.gif]()
The original build was rushed. Lack of development resulted in some wonky design features. Paint was not applied to every component, so some spots of rust appeared. The paint that was applied, never cured properly, so the finish was in bad shape, resulting in a 3-year old car that has the patina of a poorly maintained 30-year old car.
With the race at Monza this weekend, it was a good time to give this neglected car some TLC.
