I am struck by the huge difference in braking between the warmer modern motors and my old Muras and Parmas. The one Atlas motor I have seems very weak and doesn't stop either. The Muras still go very well but I'm sure I remember them being even quicker (even allowing for rubber against sticky foam) and stopping very well indeed.
So, here we have 50 year old cars which, I assume have magnets that have seen better days. How easy is it, I wonder to have them beefed up a bit. After a very poor experience with tracked postage from the UK, I am loath at this stage to trust them to international post so may have to be patient. If anyone knows someone in France that has the necessary equipment, I would be pleased to hear of them.
Can anyone recommend a dealer who sells suitable replacement magnets for the cans as an alternative?
