In the days when I used to occasionally watch Top Gear I remember seeing the Caterham 7 superlight R500 powerlap - 1 minute 17.9 seconds (cold) and I knew I just had to have one. So I started with a scrap blue set car (not the nice one in the picture).

Stripped down, repainted and reliveried.

Decals are home made on computer. Exhaust modified and relocated to other side. Wind deflector and mirrors from milliput painted graphite.
Wheels came from the scalextrix Escort Panasonic sprayed graphite and rear tyres are the spares from my Slot It Silk Cut Jag. Stig head was cast from a stig key ring fob.
Of course then scalextric released the car story of my life. Video is still available on Youtube.
