It's about time I posted some new builds, these have all been built this year but not really shown.
These have all been built to race at my local club for their 'Goodwood sports' class. The running gear on each is fairly racey, slot it, NSR parts etc. The Mclaren and Corvette Grand Sport both go well but the Iso Grifo A3/C is yet to be raced but was good in testing.
The Iso represents the Le Mans car from 1964. The only changes I made were the drivers head which is from Immense Minatures, and the lights which light up the numbers for night racing are cut down dress making pins.

The Mclaren M1A is one raced by Bruce at the Nassau Speedweek in 1964 (from memory). George Turner listed as something else but I'm pretty sure his decal set represents the Nassau car. I made up a new interior tray with slimmer driver figure and also installed a slim line motor so the ride height could be set correctly. With an S can and by using the supplied interior I found it was impossible to get the car sitting anything like low which is why I made some modifications. I also sprayed the silver stripe as the decals wouldn't last as I don't lacquer my cars except for some metallic's and even then it's only the paint I lacquer and not the decal. So big blocks of colour I usually mask and spray.

Finally for this installment of my new builds is a Corvette Grand sport, the livery is fictional but typical of the period.

I'll be posting some other builds on here and over on the Vintage and Collectors page very soon.
Thanks,
Pete
