There was a lot more work in two of these than the George Turner kit builds I just posted and the other car was a very straight forward repaint.
First up and the best in my opinion is a vintage Monogram King Cobra which I restored to represent Bob Holbert's car from the 1963 LA Times GP. This was raced by me at Bordeaux this year. Normally I'd post something like this in the Vintage section on here but I thought the scratchbuilders might appreciate the small modifications on the bodywork I completed.

Next up is a Datsun Fairlady which is strictly a copy of a real car but more of a tribute. It is built from a Arii kit and has had some parts added like the front air dam made from plasticard and the cockpit made from the same material and parts from the kit. The roll bar is a mixture of brass and ali rod. I painted the blue and red over the white, decals are from Patto's.

Final one, a very simple Ninco Cobra repaint based on a Ken Miles car. This came to me as a very well used car in a job lot with parts missing. The car was done over 2 or 3 days and was very straight forward. I painted the car white and then masked where the roundals would go with some sticky labels and then painted the blue followed by for the first time some lacquer. I replaced all the missing parts and put it all together, cleaned up the running gear and off I went. As a model it's a bit wide but looks better than the original in my opinion.

I'll post some more cars over on the vintage and collectors page in the next few days.
Thanks,
Pete
